Hello,
today I have used vmware converter to convert my Vista pc into virtual machine on an external drive that could then been accessed on my MacBook.
Everything worked out fine. I have used it for a couple of hours and everything went just fine.
I shut down the mac and had my gym class.
Now I'm back and when I open vmware fusion VISTa (that's how I named toe virtual machine) doesn't show up in my virtual machines list.
The virtual machine is on an external drive that show up on my desktop, but not on my list where I can click it and open.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Thanks!
Rocco
As long as you have the VM on your external drive (visible from the Finder) it's an easy process to get it back into the Virtual Machine Library.
Launch Fusion. and then from the menu bar, select FIle -> Open. Use the resulting dialog box to find and then highlight your VM on the external drive. Click "Open" and you should then see your VM in the Virtual Machine Library.
When you shut down your Mac, did you gracefully exit Fusion first, or did you just hit "Shut Down"?
