Using standalone 5 converter with input as local windows 7 to output vmware fusion 4, The output is one folder with too many files. How can I get that folder into one consolidated file with windows7.vmwarevm extension?

I am using converter standalone where I am converting my local windows 7 to output in vmware fusion 4. When I did the migration assistant previously, I got an output of one file windows7.vmwarevm. However when I did the converter, I got one folder called windows7. In that folder, I got multiple files.

Is there a way for me to convert all these files into one file ie: windows7.vmwarevm? do i need to use converter or some other vmware tools?

Welcome to the Community,

please take a look at Re: How to convert my fusion hard drive/vmware folder into a package/bundle? to see whether this helps. It's a rather old post, but I think it's still valid.
