Us folders from OSX when running Ubuntu on VMware Fusion

Hej

Im running ubuntu 13.10 on vmWare Fusion since i had always trouble with parallels and ubuntu.

Now, im missing the option, that like when using parallels, it sets the system automatically up the way that all folders like desktop, documents etc are directly lead to to the folders on OSX.

how can i achieve this on vmWare?

thx for ur help

Hi,

You could try the following steps:

1. Install Tools in your Ubuntu 13.10

2. Open Settings from Fusion menu -> Virtual Machine -> Settings

3. Select Sharing on the Settings panel

4. Enable shared folder by click on/off button

4. Click Plus button and then select folder that you want to share with the VM

5. Click Add, now you'll see the shared folder in the Shared Folder list

6. Go back to the VM, you'll see the shared folders under /mnt/hgfs/...
