Upgraded Fusion to 8. Now it can't find and load virtual machine so I can't run Windows. Help?

Just upgraded to Fusion 8 to my MacBook Pro, running OS 10.12.3. But I'm now unable to open Windows. Error message says it can't find Virtual Machine. I went to Documents and found the latest VM  there, which is 7X64, but Fusion still says it can't find WM to open.

Since you know where the VM file is, in Fusion have you tried File>Open and Run... and navigated to the VM's location?

The *.vmdk is just the virtual disk file.  you need to find the *.vmx file, which is the configuration of the actual virtual machine.  It should be in the same folder as the vmdk files.

The only file in my Virtual Machine folder is: Windows 7 x64.vmwarevm

Please CTRL-Click the "Windows 7 x64.vmwarevm" package. This should allow you to view its contents. If so, please post a screenshot which shows all the files with their sizes and time stamps.
