Upgrade to 3.0.1 and everything slowed down! Why?

A little background first.

I have an iMac with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 800 MHz, running OS X 10.6.2.

I was running the previous version of Fusion from a bootcamp partition with no difficulty - VERY happy with it.

Read the reports that the new version of Fusion was even faster and more stable so I upgraded.

Thats where everything went to the crapper.

The Vista Pro OS will run BUT painfully slow now.

I assumed settings would be carried over to the new version of Fusion. Maybe something has changed. The ram is set well above the recommended value - 2208 vs 1024.

I am not an advanced user of Fusion, so any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

GIven that memory increased significantly, it's probably starving the host. Try changing it back to the original value and see if that fixes the speed issue.

I presume that you also did upgrade VMWare tools, right?
