Upgrade to 2.0.2, now Fusion cannot connect to VM

Hi All,

I upgraded to Fusion 2.0.2 today. After the upgrade I tried to run up Fusion and load the Vista Business VM I have been using with previous versions of Fusion for quite some time. Unfortunately I get an error, a dialogue box pops up and says:-

"...

VMware Fusion cannot connect to the virtual Machine.

Make sure you have rights to run the program and access all directories it uses and rights to access all directories for temporary files.

....."

Any ideas? I was running Fusion 2.0.1 no problem. I run OSX 10.5.6.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Luke

Try the following:

  1. Uninstall Fusion (this won't affect your virtual machines)

  2. Reboot the Mac

  3. Repair disk permissions

  4. Install Fusion

Do you still get this error?
