Unidentified network only with LAN

I'm new with Fusion (7.1.0).

Using a MBP (Yosemite) and running Win7 x86 on Fusion.

Network connection on MAC side is working fine (both LAN and WiFi)

On Win7 side WiFi is working fine, but for some reason I get Unidentified Network when connection via LAN.

Network mode: Bridged

When I look at the network details, both are the same for WiFi and LAN

But still I cannot connect via LAN on the win7 side

Any suggestions?

Arno

Hi Mear,

Thanks for using Fusion.Smiley Happy

It seems your IP address is not in release/renew when you change to bridged mode. Could you please run ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/release in your VM, and see it this could resolve your Ip problem? Thanks.

Hi Nancy,

thank you for your respons.

I discovered that the TB-ethernet is not listed in the Fusion adapter settings under Bridged Networking.

Tunderbolt ehternet not listed in network adapter setting Fusion 7

But so far I'm not able to change this.....??

Mear, this should not be the case. Ethernet card could recognized by Fusion. Could you please take a look at your Thunderbolt Ethernet configuration on your Mac OS? Did it get an IP from your LAN?

HI Nancy,

sorry for the delay, but i'm ill at home 😞

Attached some screenshots (WiFi off, only connected to a DHCP router via thunderbolt-ethernet).

The following I noticed.

If I go to system preference => Network => Thunderbolt bridge I see a DHCP IP

and go to advance you see Thunderbolt Ethernet active

But if I startup Network Utility => Info => and select Thunderbolt ethernet I don't get an IP, although Link Status: active, Link Speed: 100 Mbit/s and packets are sent and received.

I hope this will help you in solving my issue

Thanks in advance

After trowing all file away which where in the folder System=>Library=>Preferences=>SystemConfiguration is works again.

In the network utility I get the IP address when I select Thunderbolt Ethernet and it is also visible in the bridged network adapter settings of Fusion Smiley Happy
