Unable to retrieve kernel symbols Failed to initialize monitor device Cannot find valid peer process to connect to

Hi

I'm using vmware fusion 5.0.3 on osx 10.7.5. When I start the VM I get these three messages.

Following this article , I opened the VM bundle and erased the .nvram file.

Still no go.

i'm a moron. I had renamed the mach_kernel file some time ago to test cached kernel loading. this article Unable to retrieve kernel symbols gave me the clue to check the mach file.

I renamed the mach_kernel file that resides in root back to mach_kernel.
