I'm experiencing a frustrating error, that I'm not able to find a solution to. When double click'ing on a file in Window running in VMware, I get the following message:
"The file *** is not in a folder shared with the host and cannot be opened by the host."
...the file is actually in a folder shared with the host, as I can open the file from the specific shared Windows folder in macOS, but not open it in macOS from virtual Windows. The file should open in macOS from Windows, as it's been assigned to 'Open in default host application' in Windows.
Files placed in folders shared with Windows from the Settings menu in VMware, open as expected in macOS when double click'ing on the file in Windows.
