Unable to open VM machine "One of the disks in this virtual machine is already in use by a virtual machine or by a snapshot"
I got this error today, and I researched online to remove the .lck folder/files but that is not working. I also tried to move snapshots and disk files, but that did not work either. I am using VMWare 7 on Mac OS Maverick.
I had similar problem and I resolved just changing the configuration of the virtual disk,in "advanced settings" I changed the "Virtual device node" from SCSI 0:0 to SCS 0:1. Then I tried to run the vm again and it worked!
