Ubuntu 18.04.5 not enough space to install Xilinx

I have a problem about installing Xilinx software in virtual machine ubuntu 18.04.5. It said not enough disk space to install. In fact, I have resized my vm disk space to 150GB and my host OS is Mac OS Big Sur with 131.78GB available disk space + 1 TB external disk space.

The VM should have 150GB disk space but it showed 89.66GB available and not enough space. The detail is as follows:

How to tackle this issue?

Any answer would be appreciated!

Aside from resizing the VM virtual disk from the Fusion VM settings, the partition inside the guest OS also need to be expanded.

You can search the internet on how to extend the partitions in Ubuntu.

If the new space added is not contiguous to the partition that needs expansion, you will have to use a tool like gparted to move parittion(s) around so that the free space is next/contiguous to the partition that needs to be expanded.
