URGENT HELP!!! virtual disk does not start and repair is denied, HELP!!! - MAC

After the message

Cannot open the disk '/Users/matteoconvertino/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm/Windows XP Professional.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Reason: The specified virtual disk needs repair.

I looked at this http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102388...

and since i have version 3.1.0 running on a Mac and the diskmanager does not work , i installed the diskmanager for version 3.0 as suggested here http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102385...

however following all the procedures I can not even repair the disk ... and i got this message in the terminal

/Users/matteoconvertino/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm/Windows XP Professional.vmdk: Permission denied

chobee:~ matteoconvertino$

what can i do???

I am copying the disk and reinstalling the virtual machine with the hope i can open it again.

Please help me , this is a urgent case.

Thanks

Matt

That looks like a file permissions issue. What was the exact command you did that caused that message?

Thanks for the reply , however .... I looked the command line and what I wrote was missing something (the part before -R) so it was not able to do anything

Thanks
