This didn't capture the information I was looking for.

  • Open Fusion
  • Shift-right click on the VM that's giving you the problem in the Virtual Machine Library and select "Show Config File in Finder". A Finder window will open to show the files in the virtual machine bundle.
  • Create a zip file with any files named vmware*.log and mksSandbox*.log and please attach that.

What is the MacBook model that you. are running? I see evidence in what you've provided so far that indicates to me that you may be using OpenCore Legacy Patcher to run macOS Ventura on hardware that Apple doesn't officially support. There are kernel extensions loaded with a developer ID of com.khronokernel. "khronokernel" is one of the lead developers of the OpenCore project, so my inference is that those kexts came from that source.

Attaching the vmware.log file from the VMs bundle directory will allow me to determine if that's really the case as it will enable me to easily find out what hardware you're running.

If by chance you are running OpenCore to get Ventura to run on an unsupported Mac, note that there have been reports by users that whatever OpenCore is doing under the hood  is breaking Fusion and/or the Apple hypervisor. You should contact the OpenCore community to see what they can do for you, because VMware and Apple will have nothing to do with macOS running on unsupported hardware.

The logs are showing that the system in question is running an i7-4870HQ CPU. EveryMac.com says the last Macs that had those chips were released in mid 2015. Which means that if you’re running Ventura on it, you’re using OCLP.

Your 2013 “garbage can” Mac Pro and your mid-2015 MacBook Pro aren’t supported by Apple for use with Ventura, and therefore are not supported for Fusion. That limits what we can discuss in this forum (we are after all on a site hosted by VMware). You’ll either have to drop back to a supported configuration, or talk to the OpenCore community.
