The missing vmdk file isn't missing, but some of the other files are

I'm getting the "system cannot find the file specified" error. This is a terrible way to word this error.

My file is there, but several of the "supporting' vmdk files are just, well, gone. Is there a way to get the machine working again? I've tried to search for the files, but they do not appear to be on the machine.

HELP!

Hi gbillings ,

Could you upload the support bundle? It could be collected via Fusion Help-> Collect Support Information. Thanks a lot.

Tried, but it says it's too large.

I'm afraid there's nothing we can do in this case. It looks like the VM has last been used on June, 2nd, and the important .vmdk files got lost sometime in the last half year.

If you have icloud drive and the automigrate option turned on, since it's been a while since the files were used, it's possible that OSX uploaded them to the cloud to free up space on the internal drive.
