The file specified is not a virtual disk

Hi,

I am hoping that somebody can help. I have a Virtual machine, that I can't power on. When I try I get the error message "The file specified is not a virtual disk" and when I look in seetings (for the Hard disc) the size is 0. I am using MacOS 10.12.5 and VMWare Fusion Professional Version 8.5.7 (5528452)

I do not have access to a backup of the file.

Is the anybody that can help, so I can start my virtual machine up again?

Gladbjerg I would suggest Resolving the Fusion error: The file specified is not a virtual disk (1020887) | VMware KB

Welcome to the Community,

To help figure out what is what, the best way to provide comprehensive diagnostic information is to use the "Collect Support Information" command from the VMware Fusion (menu bar) > Help > Collect Support Information and then attach the .zip file (or .tgz file if pre-version 6) it created on your Desktop to a reply post.
