I created a 30g virtual disk on my MacBookPro...I am getting a warning of disk space too low. I removed just about all documents, insured that there were no additional snapshots (only current state), and performed "shrink disk" all with minimal effect. I have gotten information on nearly every folder, Windows 10g, Programs 4g, miscellaneous .5g, and cannot determine what/why soo much room on the disk is taken. All of the maneuvers described above created virtually no additional space...what can I do? what am I missing?
What is the exact text of the disk space too low message, and where is it coming from (in the guest, from Fusion, or from OS X)? Get a screenshot if necessary.
I appreciate your reply...here is the status of the disk. Unless there are
15 GB of files I can't see I don't understand what is taking so much space.
The warning is from the Windows OS on the guest. Many more metrics are seen
in the Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor but many of these are
over my head. I am not a technical expert but have spent a lot of time
having to tinker with Windows but this space issue has confused me as all
the steps I would have taken on a physical drive have not resulted in more
space here. Thanks

Yes, Pic00041 and Pic06334 shows your Windows hard drive running out of space. Thus, this is not really a Fusion issue.
Have you accounted for all the hidden and system files? (e.g.: swap file, hibernation file, temp files in Documents and Settings\user, etc.)
This is a Mac laptop...there is no windows drive

Of course you have a "Windows drive". It's the virtual hard drive used by your virtual machine. Start up the virtual machine (a.k.a. Windows in Fusion.) Then open My Computer (or Windows Explorer.) C: is your "windows drive." Free up space there, within the virtual machine.
Every document and file I can see removed except windows os 9 gb, programs
5 gb...disk clean done...cannot 'find' the nearly 15 gb 'unaccounted for'

It could be something as simple as needing to empty your 'Recycle Bin'. When you delete files in Windows they are not actually deleted until you have emptied the Recycling bin. Hopefully this is the solution to your problem.
Right click on the Recycling Bin icon and then click 'Empty Recycling Bin'.
If that fails try running disk clean up.
Cheers
Kevin

Have you enabled "Show hidden files an folders"? (Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View. Or Start Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, Folder Options, View.)
The VMware Fusion Update 2.05 behaves differently than the previous versions as I can see from various posts of hard disk drive space. After many manipulations I have determined that the Shadow Copy function seems to escalate...that said it was very difficult to remove these shadow copies and break the cycle. More than 4 GB were recovered by doing so.
