Slow network between virtual machine and host

I have an iMac that connect to internet using the wireless network card and a vm with windows xpsp2 with bridged networking sharing the same me wifi card. I shared my home folder on the mac for copying files between machines but the connection is very slow, about 30 min for copying about 600mb. If I drag the files form the vm to the mac the transfer is much faster. Any idea? Thanx in advance.

I'm having the same problem as is another colleague of mine. I have no solutions, but it does seem that several people are experiencing this.

Do you have any Alias files? If yes, try by deleting them.

Using shared folders will always be faster than using networked files.
