Shared folder in Guest MacOS Guest?

Are shared folders available as MacOS guest, or is it only  Windows and MacOS Servers ?

In high Sierra Guest, i have shared folders enabled, an alais appear son desktop, yet when i open it,empty. even thigh there are files in the Downloads i'm trying to share from Mac host.

Also, once you "upgrade" VMWare hardware of virtual machine is it possible to "Downgrade" ?

Yes on both questions.

macOS guests do support Shared folders after you installed VMware Tools.

Yes you can downgrade the virtual hardware if needed.
