Running Android and iOS in VMware Fusion?

Hello.

Is it possible to run iOS and Android in VMware Fusion? If so, then how? I tried Android (Android-x86 - Porting Android to x86) in VMware Fusion v7.1.2, but it didn't get far.

Thank you in advance. Smiley Happy

Hi,

No not really, those are both operating systems running on the arm platform. (*)

The x86 android port you are pointing to is one I tried to run on Fusion as well and while it did run for a bit it ended up locking itself up each time I tried (after which I figured I could waste my time better in another way)

For iOS there's an simulator in xcode that should work.

For android I don't know frankly and I'd be interested to hear myself as well.

(*) ironically I've got an asus android pad that runs great on x86, but well.. that's a different story and not available as download to run on a VM.

Bluestacks for Mac is now available if you just want to run some Android apps (IIRC it runs off its own VirtualBox), otherwise Android Studio for Mac has the emulator.
