I currently run Win XP SP3 with Boot Camp (A), but I want to either run a VM with the Boot Camp Partition (B) or convert the Boot Camp Partition to a VM (C). I have 3 questions.
1) Should I expect much of a speed difference between (B) and (C) for compute intensive number crunching? I expect either to be slower than (A), correct?
2) If I try (B) I will have to reauthorize XP. If I then try (C) will this be a 3rd XP authorization or will it inherent the XP authorization of (B)?
3) If I later buy a new Mac Pro and move (C) to it from my current Mac Mini, will (C) have to be reauthorized again on the new Mac Pro, or does the authorization remain valid wherever I move the VM?
