Problems while trying to start a virtual machine

I have an old virtual machine that I need to use again (I use VMWare Fusion).

When I tried to start up this virtual machine for the first time (after a long time without useing it), it showed me an error like this: "no bootable device detected", and now, when I try to start it up again, nothing happens.

Could anybody help me, please?

Thanks

To help figure out what is what the best way to provide comprehensive diagnostic information is to use the "Collect Support Information" command from the VMware Fusion (menu bar) > Help > Collect Support Information and then attach the .tgz file it created on your Desktop to a reply post.

Wow 32.9 MB that may be the largest I've seen as normally they are between ~768KB and ~1.5MB.

Anyway, you have quite a few Virtual Machines so to speed up the process which one are you having an issue with and where is it located?

"VM... EN_US(...+AAP)".

It is located on a storage.

I think I solved the problem.

I had and "Windows... Edition.vmdk" (size: 4KB) and another one called "Windows... Edition (2).vmdk" (size: 530MB). I changed the names and it worked!

If somebody could explaind me the reason to have 2 different files, I would enjoy to know the reason!

Thanks
