Problem installing with Bootcamp

Hello!

I was able to get VMware to work just fine with boot camp running Windows XP professional 32bit a week or so ago.

I reformatted a few days ago, now I can get Windows and Mac to work in Bootcamp but not VMware. I have not changed anything from my original set up so i am not sure why its not working. Please let me know if any of you have had similar problems.

If I can not solve this problem, I am going to delete my windows partition and then re-install it as an image (as the program is meant to be used!)

The problem I am having is:

Cannot Open the Disk '/ Users/Joradian/ Library/ Application Support/ VMwate Fusion/ Virutal Machines/ Boot Camp/ %2Fdev%2Fdisk0 /Boot Camp partition.vmwarevm /Boot Camp partition.vwdk' or one of hte snapshot disks it depends on.

Reason:the file specified is not a virtual disk.

Running Windows through Boot Camp works just fine, however I would prefer to run it in a Window.

1. What VMware product do you use?

2. Post the contents of the VMX file and directory listing of the VM including file sizes.

You might want to ask this question in the VMware Fusion Beta group.

Try deleting the directory starting at Boot Camp and further down (deeper). This should force Fusion to create the vmx and all the appropriate support files (including the vmdk).
