I wanted to report that Private Internet Access VPN software, installed on Windows 10 20h2 x64, running with VMware Fusion 12.1 Player on Catalina (macOS 10.15.7) host, does not work properly when the VM is set to use hardware version 18.
This app works exclusively through its system tray icon using pop-up / contextual menus.
Under HW version 18, nearly all of the contextual menus fail to display properly. If you uninstall the software and reinstall it, there is no way to get it functional again. It is possible to right-click on the system tray icon to load the settings page, but it does not properly display. See attached image.
When the VM is adjusted to use HW version 16, while still using VMware Fusion Player 12.1, the app begins working again. The contextual menus and pop-up windows work as expected.
