PowerPoint 2007 performance in Fusion 3.0

Does anyone have any advice for increasing the performance of Powerpoint 2007 when running Fusion 3.0 on a Mac Pro? I installed Windows 7 - 64bit and the installation went fine. I have tried allocating 4 processors and 5 out of my 6mb of RAM to the virtual system and it still has a lot of screen lag when I run the PPT files.

I'm frustrated because I purchased Fusion 3.0 and the Windows 7 only to run the PC version of PowerPoint (2007). I have to access features that Microsoft (the bastards) have locked out of the MAC PowerPoint version. But I can't del with the SLOW performance on the virtual side.

I can't begin to imagine running a game on the virtual side...the lag would have to be immense.

Any suggestions?!

Hi, I would recommend with sticking with the default configuration that Fusion assigns the VM. Using 4 processors and 5GB of RAM might be really hurting the VM's performance.

I'd try the following:

- change to 1 processor

- change to 2 GB RAM

Does this improve the performance? If not then try the following:

- Open Settings -> Advanced -> Other. Change "Hard disk buffering" to "Enabled".

Hope this helps,
