Please help. Need to delete partition...

I have searched a lot and am not sure I'm finding what I need.

I have a MBP with OSX 10.6.8.  I am running VMWare Fusion 2.0.8.  I used to use it for work, but now can log onto my work computer from home and haven't run the Windows partition in over a year.  My HD had ballooned and only has 7 free GB.  I want to delete the VMWare partition so that OSX can use that 15GB.

I have found this set of instructions to find the file in finder:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&d ocTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&externalId=1007599

And this set of instructions seems to indicate I should just drag the file from the finder to the trash:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=display KC&externalId=1017838

And then I will have access to that part of the HD.

Am I on the right track?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hit a snag attempting to uninstall VMWare Fusion.

I am following these inst:

VMware KB: Manually uninstalling VMware Fusion

But I can't find this file:

Manually uninstalling VMware Fusion 3.x and earlier

  1. Run the uninstall script named Uninstall VMware Fusion, which is located in [Macintosh HD]/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/.

I am in my Application Support file. No VMWare fusion file is there.  I've searched with finder for Uninstall VMWare Fusion - nothing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

(Attempted to give you both credit for correct answer- it would only let me give it to one...)

It is located at: /Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/ not /Users/${USER}/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/

Open a Terminal and copy and paste the following command then press Enter:

open "/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Uninstall VMware Fusion.app"
