Player Pro Win-License (commercial use) integrated in Fusion Pro V7 ?

Hi together,

currenty I'm using a commercial Fusion pro V5 license.

With this license I've got a commercial Player Pro Windows license for free.

So I'm allowed to run VMs (encrypted, build on WS) on Windows as well.

(c.f.Commercial use )

Is this still true for Fusion Pro V7?

Thanks for your help

Hello Mathias,

VMware is not very clear in their communication on this part and I wondered about the same thing last September, so I asked via twitter @vmwarefusion

I'm sorry to say that it is no longer part of the Pro product.

Details here:

Twitter: ".@VMwareFusion what happened with VMware Fusion Pro license and VMware Player license?"

hope this helps,

Hello Wil,

so with Fusion Pro V6, the player was still part of Fusion.

So I'll try to get a V6 license...which is probaly quite difficult.

Anyway, thanks a lot

Hi,

Yes Fusion 6 still had that specific deal, so the following post for more details:

VMware Fusion 6 and VMware Fusion 6 Professional available today! | VMware Fusion Blog - VMware Blog...

However I don't think you can actually buy a Fusion 6 license at this moment any more.

At least not from the online shop.

You might be able to buy a Windows 7 license and then ask sales to downgrade it do Fusion 6.

In order to not be disappointed I would personally just contact VMware sales and explain your reason for wanting to downgrade before buying anything.
