Old Virtual Machine Names Appearing in Dock after Upgrading to OS X Lion

I am running VMWare Fusion version 3.1.3. After upgrading to Mac OS X Lion the name of an old Ubuntu virtual machine appears along with the Windows 7 virtual machine when I right click the VMWare Fusion icon in the dock.

The Ubuntu virutal machine was deleted months prior to the upgrade to Lion.  The same thing occurs on my other computer. However in this case it is the name of an old Windows XP installation (long since deleted) that appears along with the name of the Windows 7 virtual machine. When I open up the Virtual Machine Library window only the Windows 7 virtual machine appears - no sign of Ubuntu on one Mac or Windows XP on the other.

Everthing else seems to be working fine. I would just like to clean up the menus.  How do I remove the name of old virtual machines from the dock?

Thanks for your advice.

1. Click, VMware Fusion (menu bar) > File > Open Resent > Clear Menu

If the nonexistent Virtual Machine entries still exist on the context menu of the VMware Fusion Dock Tile then...

2. Close VMware Fusion.

3. Ctrl-click VMware Fusion Dock Tile and select Show Recents

The VMware Fusion Dock Tile context menu should now only show existing resent Virtual Machines.

Thanks.  Needed to follow all three steps.  Worked like a charm.
