I just got a new MBA running OS X 10.8.2, re-installed from scratch Fusion 5.0.2. Now, almost every time I sleep the Air by closing the lid, with Fusion still running (not suspended), OS X crashes. At least, when I re-open the lid I'm back at the initial boot login screen. My virtual machine must be restarted. I have not yet seen a crash when sleeping the computer without Fusion running, and I will soon check for crashes when the VM is suspended.
My guest is Ubuntu 13.04, but that's run just fine on my older MBP with 10.6.8.
Has anybody seen anything similar? Is this a known problem?
I cannot say if its a known issue in fusion but its a known issue in parallels running on mac book air. And the recommendation made is to either shut down the vm or suspend the vm .
If you suspend the fusion I belive you wont be able to replicate the issue on mac book air.
This issue is not reported by Mac book pro users though.

Ubuntu 13.04 is not a supported Guest OS as it's only an Alpha Release, however I'm curious if you have the same issue on the MBA with an officially supported Guest OS?
Best practice is to always have fusion suspend the VM before sleeping the machine.
