No VM networking after upgrade to 12.2.0 on macOS Big Sur

Same error with new and existing ubuntu VMs including snapshots taken immediately before VMware Fusion upgrade. What does it need for the "Ethernet0: unable to get UUID" issue? Already tried rebooting and reinstalling.

Reverting to the previous version is a workaround for now.

There is another thread about it above with a few more views. I am not sure if anyone is testing this stuff.

Were the VMs shut down cleanly before upgrade or suspended?

You indicated you had snapshots. What happens if you remove all snapshots before upgrading?

I had the same issue with VMs that both have snapshots and those that don't. In all cases NAT stopped working after upgrading to 12.2. My logs look similar to the OP. I reinstalled 12.1.x and everything started working again.

While at 12.2 I tried add new virtual network cards, editing existing ones. Nothing at all worked.

I agree with the sentiment about testing. I am also waiting for a fix for the screen flicker issue reported a long time ago. Evidently they fixed that in 12.2 by making it worse.

I also have a Parallels subscription and I haven't had any issues with that.
