Newbie question: Boot camp or not for VPN, Cybergatekeeper, etc.

I just bought a shiny new MacBook Pro, Vmware Fusion, and Windows XP Professional (OEM).

Ultimately, I need to access a corporate VPN that requires:

  • Nortel Contivity VPN client

  • InfoExpress CyberGateKeeper client

  • Symmantec Antivirus 9 or 10

Running Windows XP natively, I've seen that CyberGateKeeper verifies that my Windows XP installation has all the current patches, that my antivirus definitions are up to date -- and if my machine is not up to date, it blocks me from accessing the VPN.

I'm wondering if a simple Windows installation via Fusion would support this situation.

Thanks,

Steve

I don't think you have anything which would explicitly require a native boot. I don't have your particular VPN client, but I'm able to connect to and use our VPN from a guest.
