Networking in VM (Briged mode + VPN on host)

When networking is in Bridged mode in Guest (Windows 7) and I connect to VPN on host, why does the VM network disconnect ?  Since its in Bridge mode, it gets the ip direct from router and *not* go via Mac

Is there anyway i can have Guest and Host isolated from networking even while on VPN on host , or does this only affect IP change only?

(Attached)

II do have ZA running on Guest, but even closing this down doesn't help... I loose internet access while connected to VPN on host.

I seem to remember this may haven changed recently in an older version of Fusion??

It might be a function of the VPN product and Host you're connecting to. It is possible for VPN's to disable local network access when you're connected. This prevents you from accessing local network resources while using the VPN.

I've done a test on my system where I've connected using Cisco AnyConnect (on the Mac) to a remote host, and my Windows 10 VM still works fine from a networking perspective.

I'm using bridged mode for the VM's network too.
