Network issues after upgrading to Fusion pro 8.5

After upgrading Fusion from 7 pro to 8.5 pro I am having network issues which I can't seem to fix.

Host is OSX Sierra 10.12.2

Guest is Windows Server 2012

I can only seem to get network access on either the host or guest but not both, they both have their own IP addresses, before the upgrade both worked fine.

I've tried changing IP addresses and using DHCP but nothing seems to work.

Hopefully someone can give me some pointers.

Thanks in advance

Gordon

Hi ruraldev,

Welcome to Fusion community.

When this issue happens, which network are you in, NAT or Bridged? Is there other network setup on your host or in your VM?

It's set to use Bridged with Ethernet selected.

There's no other network on either the Host or Guest.

Thanks

Could you please try to delete the network adapter of the VM and re-add it, and see if this could resolve your problem?

Virtual Machine-> Settings -> Network Adapter -> Remove Network Adapter -> Remove,

then on settings pane,

Add Device... -> Network Adapter -> Add

then power on your VM, select the Ethernet network.

That didn't seem to work either, but after 3 hours of changing everything I could think of on both the host and guest it started working, not sure what the solution was but I'll leave it alone now that it works.

Thanks

Gordon
