Network Shares not working in Fusion Pro 12

After Big Sur Update i had do upgrade to Fusion 12 Pro because my VM's could not be started under Fusion 11 Pro.

In Fusion 12 Pro  i cannot acces mij network shares anymore. I can Ping them, i can reach Remote Desktopservers, use local webservers etc, but i cannot acces networkshares.

This is kind of urgent 😉

Do you have any sort of custom network configuration?  I recall reading in another thread that the default IP's have changed in Fusion 12, but can't pull the details out of memory.

Nope, no specific settings. Network is working for all processes but not for acces to networked files/shares. Web is available, local resources (servicers, printers can be pinged or configured through the browser. RDP cab be reached.

I have the same issue. Using fusion 12 and Big Sur. Using a Windows 10 VM client and a VPN in Windows to connect to work server. Can connect using RDP, ping servers, etc. but cannot connect to network shares at all.
everything was working well before upgrade to Big Sur & Fusion 12.

Do I need Fusion Pro to do this?

Also urgent for me as well.

I am using Fusion 12 Pro, so that does no seem to be the solution. It looks like an issue concerning network security in then virtualization that makes all network available but file sharing etc.

Did you post a request at VMware? This might speed them up.

Hi @peckers65

How did you access the network sharing, via SMB? Can you access it via IP address?

On my Mac i can acces the windows network shares without an issue.

Example SMB://172.22.0.234/Share works fine

On all my VM's i can ping the complete network etc. But a connote use files shares or windows network exploring.

Example: connect to \\172.22.0.234\Share does not work.

It looks like something in the Windows Security context and virtualization.

Only changes are update to Big Sur and upgrade to Fusion Pro 12.1

SMB 1.0 was enabled and SMBv2 was enabled. No network browsing possible

i disabled SMB 1.0. still network browsing possible.

What is necessary for Fusion work correctly?

Again: i only updated to Big Sur and Fusion Pro 12.

I was on Catalina and Fusion Pro 11 with no problems at all.
