Mouse pointer off kilter in Windows 7

In Windows 7 (VMware Fusion 6.0.4, OS X 10.9.4), suddenly my mouse (actually trackpad) pointer is off kilter. For example, if I want to close a window by clicking the X in the upper right-hand corner, I have to point to a spot to the right of the X.

I tried going back to a previous backup version but get the same results.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thank you,

David

To answer my own question, and in case it helps someone else, in Virtual Machine > Settings, I clicked Clean Up Virtual Machine, quit Fusion and restarted my Mac.

Not sure if just restarting the Mac would have worked, but I guess I should have tried it in the first place before posting.
