Hello - I've downloaded the free trial of VMware fusion to my new iMac and have gone through all the necessary steps to get my pc migrated over to my iMac using the Migration assistant. All the steps are fine until it starts the migration process and I keep getting an error stating "An error occurred while creating the virtual machine. If you have enabled System Preferences -> Security -> Firewall, disable the firewall while migrating your PC."
I've completely disabled my firewall on both the iMac and PC. I've also gone through the steps of enabling File sharing on my account using SMB.
I simply can't get the migration assistant to work. My PC and iMac are on the same wireless home network.
Any ideas or fixes for this?
