Using VMWare Fusion PC Migration Agent and I get a "Unable to create virtual machine 'Windows 10 and later x64' for the following reason: 'converter.fault.NetworkShareConnectFault.'
Here's what I've tried on the Windows 10 PC:
Turned of AV
Turned of Windows Defender/Firewall
Checked free space (83GB free of 475GB)
Filesystem is NTFS
VMWare Fusion Player 12 machine runs MacOS Big Sur 11.6
Computers are directly connected via ethernet
Windows 10 is 192.168.254.199/255.255.255.0
Mac is 192.168.254.200/255.255.255.0
Windows 10 is domain joined
Credentials are working since it allows past the part where the migration assistant on the Mac prompts for administrative credentials on the Windows 10 PC.
Tried local admin and domain admin credentials
Any ideas what else could be causing it?
VMTN has an area for Fusion, a moderator should move your thread there for you, seeing as your question has nothing to do with a vSphere security advisory.
I have the same issue/error for the same versions (Fusion 12.2.1/macOS 11.6.3) but migrating a Windows 11 PC. Interested in any solutions.

So I was just fighting this and realized that Windows 11 requires 4GB of RAM but the default setting from Fusion with Win 10 x64 only gives it 2GB. I had to do the TPM module and bump the memory above 4GB.
