Migrating VPC Disks/HDs

Hi all folks,

I start to migrate my VPC environment to Fusion some days ago (I'm a VMware beginner, also).

Migration of my VPC Guests works well, but how to migrate VPC disks.

In the past I use some stand alone Disks with VPC, but VMware can't import/migrate stand alone Disks, I think.

Does someone know how to get this Disks running with Fusion?

Can I import VPC Guests (Windows Version) into Fusion, too?

Thanks for any help,

Lutz

VMware does not fix this with VMware Fusion 3.x.

I'm so sorry, but I can't find a way to handle/migrate disks only.

If the VPC images still boot, you can run VMware Converter inside them to convert their contents to a VMmare-compatible VM.

Hi,

sorry but it doesn't work too.

I create a dummy VPC System and migrate it, this is a ugly way, but it work well.

i agree. VMware cannot migrate VPC on stand-alone disk. it just can't be done no matter how hard you try it. this is one of the things ever user should be aware of.
