McAfee Drive Encryption

Hello,

My company started encrypting all Windows 10 HDD using MCAfee drive encryption. Currently I am a parallels user, and when rebooting my Windows 10 VM with Drive Encryption,

parallels will not boot the VM. Does Fusion version 11 support booting and running a Windows 10 VM with McAfee drive encryption active? If so I will purchase Fusion 11.

I have tried contacting parallels support - no help there.

I am running OSX Mojave and I have Fusion 11 installed for a 30 day evaluation.

I would appreciate any direction on this.

Thanks in advance.

Dennis

Your IT folks need to exempt virtual machines from the encryption requirement, and focus on encrypting the host drive with FileVault.  For physical windows machines, they should look at using Bitlocker on Windows 10, rather than a third party solution.

If they try to make you encrypt your mac with anything other than file vault, if it's BYOD, back away slowly then run quickly and ask for a company issued device to brick instead.
