Max Video Memory in Fusion 4? Parallels' 1GB Video Memory!?

With Fusion 3.1.4, video memory is fixed at 256MB, correct? (that's what I see in my Windows Server 2008 VM, and I'm not aware of a way to change that - to get more.)

Has this changed in Fusion 4?

I've noticed Parallels 7 advertising video memory up to 1GB.

I don't know how that'd work, but I'm thinking of trying Parallels for this reason alone.

I'd appreciate opinions/comments about Parallels, 1GB video memory, etc.

I'd also like to learn how VM video memory works... where is it allocated from, how does physical memory in the video card figure into it?

Thanks

Thanks WoodyZ.

So, Fusion 4 gives 256MB, period, to Windows Vista and Windows 7 VMs?

What about other guests such as Linux?

Fusion system requirements don't mention physical graphics cards. How does that work? Are they completely emulated?

(I do experience differences when, in my MacBook Pro, I switch between the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT and the 9400M.)

It'll be interesting to see, in Parallels, the effect of specifying 1GB video ram.
