Making VM Fusion's version of MS Office the default

I have both Parallels and VM Fusion on my system. I like to associate .XLS file types with MS Excel under Windows, however when I launch an .XLS it launches Parallels instead of the VM Fusion one. How do I change this behaviour.

Currently there is no other way since Fusion does not support cross-platform file associations at this time.
