Maintain Mac style keyboard commands when using a Windows VM

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to make my keyboard act as it would on a Mac when running Windows 7 in Fusion.  For example, when I click "Command-Right Arrow" in a text document I would like the cursor to move to the end of the line as it does when I do so on my Mac.

I've done a bit of searching but haven't found whether this is possible or not.  I am running VMWare Fusion 6 on a Macbook Pro, running Windows 7 in the VM.

Thanks for any insight anyone can provide.

In Preferences (command  - ,) in the Keyboard & Mouse pane, there are a number of options.

You might be able to customize this in the "Key Mappings" tab. However, there may be no similar mapping in Windows (or the Windows app). But if you know what Windows key combination does what you desire, and have a specific Mac key combination in mind, you may be able to set that hitting the "+" key at the bottom. Note that, since Windows apps are not always created similarly, the combination you select may not map correctly in other Windows apps. But this should at least be a start for you.

Some mappings already exist, as Command - Z, -X, -C, -V are mapped to what Windows' apps commonly use (undo, cut, copy, paste). And Command-W is mapped to Alt-F4 (close window). But again, there needs to be an existing key combination you can map the Mac command to.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think what's going to do it for me is AutoHotkey, which is a free windows app allowing you to map keystrokes to various commands / other key strokes.  Not 100% there yet, but getting close to having all the common OS shortcuts I use working in the VM now.
