MacOS host Ubuntu guest cannot bridge to Belkin/Realtek NIC

I'm brand new VMWare Fusion user.

I have created a VM and installed Ubuntu into it.

When I go to VIrtual Machine / Network Adapter / Network Adapter Settings...

I see only Auto Detect and WiFi listed under Bridge Networking but

not my Belking 6 in 1 adapter that includes a Realtek Ethernet port.

I'm running Monterey 12.5.1, Fusion 12.2.4 and Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS

So what should I do next?

Is the network adapter in that Belkin device seen by macOS? If not, it will not appear as a device that can be bridged.

Can you double check the macOS System Preferences > Network, and tell us which network devices it finds?
