MacOS display stuck at 1024 on Workstation Pro 15 on Windows 10 - is there a fix?

Guest display is stuck at inadequate resolution of 1024 on a laptop with a native display resolution of 3840 x 2160.

Seems similar to a problem described for Fusion at this thread: Screen resolution issue with macOS 10.14 (Mojave) guest on macOS 10.14 (Mojave) host - Fusion 11.

However, the fix recommended there - uninstalling and re-installing Tools - hasn't worked after three tries.

I'm not sure about your configuration.  Workstation runs on Windows, not on MacOS.  MacOS guests can only legally be run on Fusion running on original mac hardware.

See title of my post - "on Windows 10". Not sure how to make it any more clear? Anyway thanks for trying to help.

OK, so you are in fact, admitting to using an illegal crack to hack Workstation software, in order to violate Apple's licensing to run their OS on non-Apple hardware, and asking for help in the vendor's forum?

So you're running MacOS as a VM on Workstation 15 which runs on a Windows 10 laptop/PC?

Exactly my question.  Moderator should probably lock/delete this thread.
