MacOS Ventura: Could not connect 'Ethernet0' to virtual network '/dev/vmnet8'.

Brand new install of VMWare Fusion 13.0.2 (21581413).

Added a network interface, the Windows 11 VM now starts but with a warning:

Could not connect 'Ethernet0' to virtual network '/dev/vmnet8'.

The vmware.log file is as follows:

2023-09-27T12:31:11.949Z Er(02) vcpu-0 VNET: MacosVmnetVirtApiStartIsolatedInterface: Ethernet0: unable to load vmnet DB
2023-09-27T12:31:11.949Z In(05) vcpu-0 VNET: MACVNetPort_Connect: Ethernet0: can't start virtual interface
2023-09-27T12:31:11.949Z In(05) vcpu-0 Msg_Post: Warning
2023-09-27T12:31:11.949Z In(05) vcpu-0 [msg.vnet.connectvnet] Could not connect 'Ethernet0' to virtual network '/dev/vmnet8'. More information can be found in the vmware.log file.
2023-09-27T12:31:11.949Z In(05) vcpu-0 [msg.device.startdisconnected] Virtual device 'Ethernet0' will start disconnected.

Unfortunately the error handling is broken, the message say "unable to load vmnet DB" but does not say why.

Any ideas?

Could you attach a brief suppprt bundle and the full VMware.log file?
