MacBook Air

The Air has only 2GB of memory and an 80GB hard drive

I will use it primarily as a MacOS system with Windows XP for office related work

Do you have any suggestions for the relative size of the partitions so I don't completely cripple the effectiveness of either environment

You may want to create a BootCamp partition (windows) with 30% disk space and install Fusion in the MacOS

A friend suggested a 30GB partition ... after reading all available guidance I chose 10GB to start. Windows XP took a total of 6GB so seem to have plenty left before it starts to grow the partition.

There was a bigger issue (my second post) because apparently the Fusion CD needs to be in the CD/DVD reader attached to the MacBook Air for Fusion to mount.

VERY STRANGE

It does not have to be connected but the CD/DVD Device in the Virtual Machine's Settings must be set to Disabled if the Supper Drive is not presently attached!
