Mac Pro, Leopard and Fusion 1.1 RC 2D Performance

I just upgraded most of my Macs to Leopard and those with Fusion to 1.1RC. On my MacBook Pro things are going well. On my Mac Pro the 2D performance is incredibly slow. I can see apps like Quicken visibly paint the toolbars etc. It works so not a stability issue and debugging is not checked in preferences. Any others with this experience? When I was running Tiger (10.4.10) and Fusion 1.0 no performance issues at all. I also have the issue where all sound is being routed through the internal speaker but that has already been submitted as a bug report and well documented.

Thanks,

Carlin Smith

Hi Carlin,

Check out this thread where we're discussing this issue:

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/109369?tstart=0

It's a specific performance regression in the Windows SVGA driver installed by VMware Tools. That thread has steps on how to go back to the 1.0 driver.

This worked - is this specific to the Mac Pro?

No, it's an issue inside the guest.
