Lightning/Thunderbolt HD?

I try to restore in my MacOs10.12 guest my old system.

I have a timemachine backup, which is on a Thunderbolt/Lightning drive.

How can I mount the drive physially in the Guest, like I can with any USB drive?

There is currently no way to present a thunderbolt/lightning device directly to a guest.
