Leopard and Bootcamp FusionVM problem.

The only thing not working when I start a Bootcamp VM from Fusion 1.1 RC, the programs menu.

I click and click and nothing happens. Any solutions?

Make sure VMware Tools are up-to-date inside your Boot Camp VM. If Tools are out of date, this kind of problem can occur.

If they're up to date, can you let us know:

1) The exact version of Tools (click on the tray icon, then the About tab)

2) What version of Windows you're running (XP or Vista, 32 or 64 bit)

3) What language your Windows installation is configured to use

Thanks!

Everything is setup correctly,

I am using Leopard with English as first language, Vmware Fusion 1.1 RC 61385,

the vmware tools are the same version, 7.6.1 build 61385,

and I am using Bootcamp 2.0 (Leo version) with XP SP2 with all the updates, english version with Greek regional settings.

The same setup as a native VM file works with no problems, but when I fire up Bootcamp VM I have a Programs menu, but nothing launches.

Interesting. We haven't tested Unity using the Greek language in Windows; it's possible we have a bug there.

I assume there's nothing interesting in ~/Library/Logs/VMware Fusion/vmware-vmfusion.log, right?

Yes there is

vcpu-0| TOOLS call to unity.shell.open failed.

vcpu-0| VMXVmdbOpenGuestFileCB: failed: ret = VMDB failure

vcpu-0| VMXVmdbOpenGuestFileCB: failed: ret = VMDB failure

whenever I click on the Fusion's Programs menu.

And let me remind you that I am talking about greek regional settings, not greek language WinXP,

an it only happens in a bootcamp VM, not my file based one.
