Keyboard definitions

VMware Fusion 2.0 final

Windows VISTA Business in UNITY

I can remap the keyboard, but i can't remap to do nothing. If i press cmd-l (@ in OS X programs) and my windows is in focus the windows will lock. If i could remap cmd-l to nothing, that would be my solution.

Regards,

Ulrich

Hi Ulrich. In Fusion 1.0 pressing Command-L would bring up the Fusion Launch window. In Fusion 2.0, it now causes windows to lock.

If you would like to get the Fusion 1.0 behavior back, then try this:

1. Go to Fusion -> Preferences

2. Select "Fusion Shortcuts"

3. Look for "Launch Applications"

4. If you don't see it then click "Restore Defaults", this should bring it back.

5. Make sure "Launch Applications" is checked.

Once you do this, pressing Command-L will bring up the Fusion Launch window.

Hope this helps

If you are talking about Key Mappings under Keyboard & Mouse of VMware Fusion Preferences then no you cannot map a key to nothing however as a work-a-round I've mapped certain key combos to PrintScrn to deter them from their normal action and while in Unity view the appears to do nothing unlike in Single Windows or Full Screen where it actually captures the Desktop to the Clipboard but that as good as the Bit Bucket for my needs.
