# Key not working in guest OS (XP)

Hi There,

My aplogies if someone has already asked this, I search through this group and couldn't find any similar postings.

My problem is that I can't type the # symbol from within my guest OS (Windows XP Pro, SP3). If I try the Apple combo of Alt-3 XP just makes a "doink" noise. I've tried other modifier key combinations plus the 3 key but nothing seems to make the # character appear. I've tried tinkering with the Keyboard & Mouse settings in Fusions preferences but I've not managed to find a way of getting the # key to work. Has anyone got any ideas on what I need to do to get the # key to work?

I'm running Fusion 2.0.1 on a 2.0ghz MacBook with UK keyboard layout, if that helps.

Thanks.

Regards

suggests it might be ctrl-alt-3

Hi etung,

Thanks for that but I've tried Ctrl-Alt-3 and that doesn't work either.

Cheers

Any update on this? I am having the same problem. Fusion itself seems to reject the key combination of Alt-3, all other OS X applications support it. All other keys work just fine. What is most annoying is that it used to work.

Fusion 2.0.1, MacBook Pro, OS X 10.5.6, UK keyboard, XP Pro SP2
